In the ongoing pandemic situation, hairdressing and beauty salons as well as pedicure practices are particularly challenged to develop effective and safe hygiene concepts. At the same time, however, the desire for sustainable and less aggressive cleaning alternatives is also growing in this sector. Both can be met thanks to an innovative solution: chemical-free cleaning with micro dry steam.
"If you clean intensively with chemical cleaning agents, you actually achieve the opposite of what you set out to do. Instead of achieving greater cleanliness, there is a risk of things becoming increasingly unhygienic," says Fritz Pattis, Managing Director of Medeco Cleantec GmbH, which develops and sells green cleaning systems. What sounds contradictory is actually quite logical on closer inspection. "The more cleaning agents and disinfectants are used, the more residue they leave behind on all surfaces that are cleaned. Residues to which new dirt and, above all, new bacteria and viruses adhere in no time at all."

For truly effective cleanliness and hygiene, the goal is therefore residue-free cleaning, which can be achieved not only easily but also cost-effectively by using micro dry steam. "Micro dry steam is very hot and therefore very dry and fine steam. These are all properties that bring a whole host of advantages," explains Fritz Pattis. Thanks to the very low water content of just 5%, the dry steam is even suitable for textile and sensitive surfaces that tolerate little or no moisture. At the same time, the high pressure of the Micro Cleaner from Medeco Cleantec and a temperature of over 180 degrees ensure that not only are all soiling and cleaning agent residues completely removed, but germs are also greatly reduced through thermal disinfection.

The "side effects" of green cleaning using micro dry steam are also impressive. "Nothing but a little water is needed for cleaning. The costs for more water consumption and expensive cleaning agents can therefore be saved completely." In addition to the budget, the environment is also protected by dispensing with chemical agents and their plastic packaging.
