What is a dry steam cleaner?

Dry steam cleaners are cleaning devices whose steam does not contain any liquid water droplets. This is achieved by a very high temperature and high pressure, which makes the steam dry. This is why we speak of dry steam.

With the use of a little water and electricity and no cleaning agents, all our dry steam devices achieve what even conventional steam cleaners often fail to do: residue-free cleaned and germ-free surfaces.

Thanks to the smallest water particles, which are created by our patented technology at 190°C and over 9 bar pressure, "pore-deep cleaning" is not just a promise, but actually becomes reality. In addition, thanks to the high temperature, thermal disinfection takes place automatically during every cleaning process. The result: dirt and residues as well as germs are completely removed. Clean and hygienic surfaces are left behind.

How does dry steam work?

Classic steam cleaners are very popular, especially for private use, and are often used outdoors - for example, to clean patios and the like. But what is the difference to micro dry steam cleaners? Commercially available steam cleaners generate significantly lower steam temperatures and thus also a significantly lower pressure (approx. 3 to 4 bar). The result: a very wet steam whose water particles are still so large that the surface tension of the water prevents it from penetrating pores and thus loosening dirt. Instead, the moisture settles on the surfaces and can therefore damage certain materials such as wood or textiles more than it cleans them due to the excessive wetness. Not to mention that the wetness left behind by the moist steam has to be removed again. Another work step that is not necessary when cleaning with very hot and thus very dry steam.

Disinfection effect on bacteria and viruses

Many bacteria but also viruses cannot survive temperatures above 70°. Staphylococcus aureus, for example, is effectively eliminated at 80° in 2 seconds, E. Coli already at 55°. The MediCleanTec Micro Cleaner reaches exit temperatures that immediately inactivate many germs (depending on the accessories used, the removal and the substrate condition). With this steam technology, we achieve germ reductions up to log level >7. This means that the MediCleanTec Micro Cleaner can contribute to significant germ reductions even in normal cleaning processes. This was confirmed by an accredited laboratory.
